Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on December 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast. She holds the record for being recognized with 10/10 scores during an Olympic performance. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics coach when she was six years old. The year 1969 was the first time she competed in the Romanian Junior Games and finished 13th. She won in 1970. In her very first international event in 1972 she took the top spot with three gold medals. In 1975 she was awarded four golds and one silver in her first senior international contest. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European champion. She was the first woman ever to perform a backwards double salto while dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens she began her career in the entertainment business as a performer as a figure skater. Along with her younger brother Nina Wayne she was part of a traveling show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. Carol was a part of the entertainment business in her teens. She began her professional career by performing figure skating with Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment shows Ice Capades. They featured ice skating shows with theatrical shows.
